If you applied for financial aid, you typically should receive notice of your eligibility shortly after receiving your admission notification.If thefinancial aid office has requested additional information, such as an IRS Tax Return Transcript or W-2 forms, your offer may arrive later. As long as you respond to such requests in a timely manner, you will receive full consideration for financial aid.
In order to view your financial aid award online, you must activate your W&M account. You will be emailed when your award letter is ready for online viewing.

Late Applications for Financial Aid
If you were unable to file a FAFSA form and the CSS Profile by March 1, you may still submit those applications and be eligible for financial aid. The FAFSA code for William & Mary is 003705 and the CSS Profile code is 5115.
Health Insurance
Unless otherwise covered through a family policy, all entering students are required to purchase health insurance. As an estimate, the 2025-2026 cost for a policy purchased through William & Mary was $3,632.
