Accept & Deposit
Join the Class of 2030
Step 1: Activate Your W&M Account and Create a Password
Your W&M username is listed at the bottom of your acceptance letter (if you were accepted after April 29) and it is available in your application portal.
Your W&M username is usually — but not always — the first initial of your first name, first initial of your middle name (if you have one) and your last name (Example: txgriffin). When signing in to W&M services you will need to add the William & Mary domain (@wm.edu) to your W&M username (Example: txgriffin@wm.edu).
Once activated, you will use your W&M username and password to check your financial aid award package, pay your enrollment deposit online and access many other services available through myW&M — everything from registering for classes to making online payments.
Step 2: Pay Enrollment Deposit
Your $350 deposit is a one-time, non-refundable payment that will be applied toward your first-semester bill. You can submit your enrollment deposit online via credit card or electronic check. Should a deposit payment at this time be a challenge for you or your family, please request a deposit waiver using the personalized link in your application portal.
Deadline to Deposit
- Early Decision I: Jan. 5
- Early Decision II: Feb. 15
- Regular Decision: May 1
By submitting an enrollment deposit to W&M you affirm that you have not submitted an enrollment deposit or affirmative response to another college or university. Offers of admission are contingent upon continuing to meet high standards of academic performance, personal conduct and completion of all work in progress. Furthermore, prior to enrollment at William & Mary, students are required to submit answers to questions about criminal and disciplinary history and to comply with the university's Disclosure of Arrest Policy. The university reserves the right to refund an enrollment deposit and rescind admission for failure to comply with these expectations or in cases where criminal or disciplinary history reveals an unacceptably high risk to the personal safety, academic integrity or core values of the William & Mary community.
If you have questions about depositing or using our online process, please contact Admission Operations.
Step 3: Access Your W&M Email Account
After you pay your enrollment deposit (allow 24-48 hours for processing), you can access your Outlook email account (powered by Microsoft 365) via the Outlook icon on myW&M.
Make sure to check your email frequently throughout the spring and summer for important updates. Other on-campus offices will be using your W&M email address to communicate with you about financial aid, housing, registration, orientation and much more.
