Parking Permits

The new 23-24 decals are now available for purchase.  Please go online to update your Parking Account using the T2 Cloud based system. The system allows eligible customers to purchase decals online, manage vehicle and address information, file appeals, or pay citations22-23 decals remain in effect until Aug 31st. 23-24 decals are not valid for use until Aug 21st forward.

Parking Eligibility

William & Mary students who have completed 4 regular semesters, and have achieved social class status of Junior or Senior, as well as William & Mary faculty and staff members, commuting students, and campus contractors are eligible to purchase a William & Mary parking permit.

Parking Enforcement

Parking enforcement rules are in effect 24 hours a day beginning Monday at 7:00 AM through Friday at 5:00 PM, Decals or passes are required to park on campus. Once purchased you must park according to your decal in properly marked spaces.

Students

William & Mary students who commute to campus and students who have achieved social class status of Junior or Senior who live in university administered housing (including the Ludwell apartments & Richmond Hall) are eligible to purchase a William & Mary parking permit.  Graduate students who live in the Lettie Pate Whitehead Evans Graduate Complex (referred to here as Grad Plex) qualify for the Grad Plex decal.  Commuter and Resident permits are valid in other permit type designations after 5:00pm, but must be in proper designations by 7:00am the next weekday morning.  Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays.  Permits or passes are required at all times Monday through Friday.

Purchase your permit online.  Have your vehicle registration and proof of insurance prepared as a small .jpg or .pdf document.  If your vehicle is already registered, check the vehicle descriptions are up-to-date, then simply proceed to permit purchase.

Faculty & Staff

All faculty, administrative personnel, classified, and hourly employees of the university and contract employees are eligible to register motor vehicles under faculty/staff status. William & Mary students who work part-time for W&M will have their eligibility determined according to their student status and may only purchase student permits.

Faculty & Staff Permits

Daily Passes

Faculty, staff and students who do not wish to purchase a permit for year round use may order a daily temp pass equivalent. The cost of a daily pass is $6 and evening pass is $3 for all classifications.

Temp faculty and staff - may purchase passes on a weekly or monthly basis at the approved tiered rate.

Freshman and Sophomores - those who do not qualify for a permit may, under extenuating circumstances, purchase temporary passes for short term periods not to exceed 14 days.  Student should have license plate info, as it will be required at time of purchase.  Contact Mr. Radcliffe to order.

All students - may purchase a temp pass following the Thanksgiving holiday until Winter break at the prevailing daily rate ($6/day).  Guests may use the Pay-by-App.

Motorcycle or Moped Permit

The motorcycle permit entitles the registered vehicle to park on campus.  Motorcycles, mopeds, and motor scooter meeting the state engine size requirements >49CC, seat high requirements >24" or capable of speeds in excess of 35 MPH, are allowed to park ONLY in pre-defined and approved motorcycle parking spaces.  Motorcycles parked in any location other than the pre-defined and approved parking areas are subject to citation. The cost of the permit will be ½ of the base rate. For safety reasons, unless otherwise noted, these vehicles are not permitted to park on sidewalks, under building overhangs, inside courtyards, or in buildings, at any time.
