Summary

Announcing the Royal Court nominees!

Full Description

On February 6th, we will celebrate the 333rd anniversary of W&M and the awarding of the Royal Charter from King William III and Queen Mary II of England. What better way to celebrate our Royal Birthday than to hold a Coronation for a Royal Court of students - selected by their peers - who will reign as our W&M Royals until next year.

Recognized Student Organizations will receive an invitation to nominate a member to the Royal Court the first week of classes.  Be on the look out for your organization to be able to have a representative in the Royal Court!

Student Assembly and AMP will host the Green & Gold Bash on Friday, February 6th. At the Green & Gold Bash, the Royal Court will be selected, and a Coronation will take place where we will crown our new W&M Royals: The Royal Majesty and four Royal Highnesses.

Campus Wide voting to select the Royal Court will take place at 3 separate opportunities.  An initial electronic ballot (sent to all students) will narrow all nominees to the Top 10 finalists. In person voting on the Top 10 finalists will take place on Charter Day AT the Charter Day Ceremony AND at the Green & Gold Bash.

All nominees will be included on a campus-wide ballot that will be open between The first week of February. The Top 10 Royal Court Finalists will be identified and in-person voting options will continue on Charter Day!
