President Katherine A. Rowe charged Provost Peggy Agouris and Chief of Staff Carlane Pittman-Hampton with co-chairing strategic planning for William & Mary.

During the 2026 planning process, all members of the university community are empowered to explore and propose concrete initiatives. The Cabinet is responsible for engaging units across campus in planning. In addition, the President has charged five Strategic Planning Working Groups with engaging the university community and synthesizing their proposed initiatives into strategic recommendations.
