Summary
The following message was sent to all Cascade editors on November 12, 2025.
Full Description
Hello Cascaders -
As part of the university's new Digital Footprint Project, we're seeing significant progress on the first milestone: the review and cleanup of outdated Cascade web content by December 15, 2025. Thank you!
Cascade Cleanup Support Sessions
Our team has been offering twice-weekly support sessions to the project points of contact (POCs) for each site and we would like to extend that offering to other www.wm.edu Cascade editors participating in this vital work. If you need assistance, you'll find upcoming in-person and virtual sessions on the Cascade training calendar.
Note: Cascade editors within the schools, College of Arts & Sciences or Advancement should contact their Cascade Manager for direct consultation.
Accessibility Demos at Fix Your Content Day
Our team is also excited to be partnering with IT, STLI and others for Fix Your Content Day on November 18! We'll be presenting on two topics and participating in select drop-in work sessions that day. Please register to participate.
- 6 Ways to Improve Your Web Accessibility in Cascade | 9:30-10am | Virtual
Join our content specialists for a live demo as we make updates to sample Cascade content to improve accessibility. We'll show how to hyperlink relevant phrases, make images accessible, use headings with intention, ensure tables are meaningful, convert documents to webpages and use the built-in accessibility checker. - Accessibility of W&M Brand Colors | Digital Accessibility Power Hour | 2:00-2:55pm | In Person
Our web designers will share practical guidance on using William & Mary’s brand colors accessibly in digital spaces. Learn how to apply color contrast best practices to ensure your content looks great and meets accessibility standards across the web and beyond. - Fix It! Work Sessions | 3-5pm | In Person
We're taking our support session on the road to Jones 203. Our content specialists will be on hand to work with you on making your Cascade content more accessible. We hope to see you!
Best,
