VCRC Legal Fellow
Background
The Virginia Coastal Resilience Collaborative partners with the William & Mary Law School to jointly support the recruitment of Legal Fellows who enhance the VCRC’s capacity to engage in robust legal and policy analysis in the resilience field. As recent graduates of the W&M Law School, these fellows work with the VCRC for a minimum of one year and a maximum of two years to bolster legal expertise within the VCRC, provide employment and experiential learning opportunities for recent graduates, and retain W&M alumni in Virginia as they begin their legal careers.
Codified in a Memorandum of Understanding between the VCRC and W&M Law, the VCRC Legal Fellows are jointly funded by the VCRC, by way of the Commonwealth Center for Recurrent Flooding Resilience (CCRFR), and the W&M Law School.
