Training & Access

All content editors responsible for a portion of the university's main web presence must attend a Basic Training session to activate their Cascade accounts.

Is Training Right for You?

Please discuss with your supervisor if you will have enough responsibilities in Cascade to make Basic Training and your ongoing self-training a worthwhile endeavor. When students or staff have minimal need to make edits, we highly recommend that work be consolidated to other editors who can better build up the necessary web skills by using them more frequently.
Content editors who have not worked in Cascade recently are encouraged to register below for a Basic Training session to reinforce their understanding.

For Editors of www.wm.edu

Do you need additional guidance on how to use Cascade features like collapsible lists, listboxes, listing pages or other features used on your website? Content specialists within University Web & Design offer workshops including live demonstrations and hands-on practice with these advanced features.

While we do not schedule these workshops on a regular basis, email [[creative]] to express your interest and we'll discuss upcoming opportunities.

Note: Not all advanced training requests will be honored at this time. University Web & Design resources are currently focused on the university's digital footprint project and web accessibility enhancements — advanced training will only be provided for features currently available on your website to ensure editors are able to maintain their current websites.

Online Help Pages

Our Cascade Help site provides you an A-to-Z resource on current features. We encourage you to browse, search and delve in.

If you need a review of any or all Basic Training topics, we encourage you to consult this Basic Training cheat sheet or register for another upcoming Basic Training session.
