Event Calendars

Utilizing W&M Events and TribeLink is best practice for advertising campus activities, workshops, office hours and more. If your department's website hosts a calendar widget, active calendar monitoring is especially important. Check out the Student Affairs' events row to see the connection between calendar and website in real time.

On this page, learn the ins and outs of both W&M Events and TribeLink.

Why Promote Events?

Communication is key, even in the form of an event posting.

Creating events does help round out a webpage, but it also notifies the campus community of Student Affairs happenings. Not only does an event posting encourage student engagement with the department or organization, but our partners (W&M News, Provost Top 5 Things to Know, campus newsletters) will know to highlight, celebrate and learn more about us.

W&M Events

Submitted events must be on behalf of a department, office, program, or university-recognized group or organization and be university-related. They should fit under one or more of the available calendars — the W&M Featured Events calendar, or the school, department, program and group calendars.

Events not acceptable for W&M Events are personal gatherings, private events, and events that are not university-related and sponsored by a department, office, program, or university-recognized group or organization.
