Short-term Study Abroad Programs

For many years, the Global Education Office has been supporting faculty to offer a broad range of short-term study abroad programs for undergraduate and graduate students.

Short-Term Study Abroad Programs: Request for Proposals

In support of COLL 300 and the university’s strategic goal of increasing undergraduate study abroad participation to sixty percent, as well as broader initiatives to support comprehensive internationalization across all schools, the Global Education Office (GEO) at the Reves Center for International Studies is accepting proposals for short-term study abroad programs for winter break 2020-21 and summer 2021. The deadline for proposals for 2020-21 (including summer 2021) is December 13, 2019. The extended deadline for Winter 2021 is April 24, 2020.

The call for Short-Term Study Abroad Programs is designed to encourage proposals for study abroad programs ranging from 2-8 weeks which enhance and complement existing study abroad programs. Program proposals for long-standing, regularly repeatable programs should continue to follow normal policies of respective schools. Selected proposals will receive significant need-based scholarship funding to help make these experiences financially accessible to students. Details can be found in the RFP call and in the online application.
