Sympa, William & Mary’s platform for managing and sending messages to email lists (listservs), will be upgraded on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 8am-2pm. This timing is intended to help minimize disruption to users. 

During the maintenance window, mail flow through Sympa will pause temporarily for a few hours and mail delivery through lists may be delayed. The upgrade will also include minor user interface changes designed to improve the overall experience. 

After the upgrade: 

• Sympa will retain listserv archives from the past three years only. 
• Older archive content will no longer be available in Sympa. 
• List cleanup changes may affect outdated or inactive lists.
