About Me

I came to William & Mary in February 1996 from my undergraduate alma mater, Presbyterian College. I served as Coordinator of Volunteer Services and Director Minority Affairs from 1990 – 1996. I have held several positions at William & Mary: Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs (1996-1999); Director of Multicultural Affairs (1999-2007); Interim Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs (2007-2009); Assistant to the President for Diversity & Community Initiatives (2008-2012); Chief Diversity Officer (2012-2025) Senior Advisor to the President (2025-present).

Primary Responsibilities

Working closely with the president, provost, and other senior officers, the senior advisor to the president is a new job, focused primarily on employee leadership development. Duties include coordination and leadership of campus initiatives, education and research, community outreach, reporting, and communications.

Personal Interests

Reading, technology, watching sports, and enjoying time with family and friends.
