Biography
Amany Shahata ’27 is studying Biology at William & Mary, with a focus on ecology and wildlife conservation. Her curiosity for biological sciences began at a young age through her love of animals and nature documentaries. Over the past year, Amany has conducted research on environmental systems, further strengthening her interest in both field- and lab-based work. She hopes to pursue a career as a wildlife biologist and rehabilitator.
Through the Institute for IIC’s Conservation Research Program (CRP), Amany is excited to broaden and refine her skill set while gaining new perspectives on what it means to make a meaningful impact in conservation. In her free time, Amany rides with the William & Mary Equestrian Club and enjoys caring for her ever-growing collection of plants.
