Biography
Jamie Plumeri ’27 is from Virginia Beach and is a junior majoring in Integrative Conservation with a minor in Biology. Prior to enrolling at William & Mary, she earned an Associate of Science degree from her local community college. Jamie has had a lifelong love for animals and knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. As a child, she spent her time reading nonfiction books about animals and caring for her many pets. In her free time, Jamie continues to enjoy spending time with her pets, connecting with friends, learning about social issues and politics, and listening to music. Over the summer, she worked at the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center, where she enjoyed learning from and spending time around the animals. She hopes to pursue a career focused on the conservation of threatened and endangered megafauna.
