Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is guided by the motto “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.” The Xi Theta Chapter upholds this principle by fostering leadership, service, academic excellence, and professional development among its members while remaining committed to uplifting the campus and the surrounding community.

Chapter Overview & History

The Xi Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered at William & Mary on January 11, 1992. Founded nationally on January 5, 1911, Kappa Alpha Psi is a historically Black fraternity with a distinguished legacy of achievement, leadership, and service.

As a proud member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), the Xi Theta Chapter brings together honorable men dedicated to personal growth and collective excellence. Alumni of the chapter have gone on to excel in fields including business, law, medicine, education, and professional athletics.

On campus and in the broader community, Xi Theta actively engages in initiatives that promote student health, financial literacy, career development, mentorship, and service. Through these efforts, the chapter continues to build a legacy rooted in impact, brotherhood, and achievement.

Philanthropy & Service

• The Xi Theta Chapter supports community-focused initiatives, including donations to the Avalon Center, funded in part through proceeds earned by winning first place at StompFest 2024. These efforts reflect the chapter’s commitment to service, advocacy, and giving back through excellence.
