Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA)
Tuition Assistance is a benefit paid to eligible members of the armed services to assist them with their tuition expense. Each service branch has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service, application processes and restrictions. All approved TA authorizations must be submitted to the William & Mary Bursar's Office prior to the eBill statement due date.
Veteran and dependent benefits
Certification for educational benefits is a service provided by the Office of the University Registrar. This office will assist students with the processing of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) forms for educational benefits, provide guidance about specific procedural requirements, and submit enrollment certifications for each semester to the VA. Please refer to the 'Using Veterans Benefits' webpage for detailed information on receiving your educational benefit.
Virginia Military Survivors and Dependent Education Program (VMSDEP)
The VMSDEP program provides educational assistance for up to 8 semesters with the benefit payments processed by the Bursar/Student Accounts Office. The required documentation/certification from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services (DVS) needs to be submitted to the William & Mary Bursar/Student Accounts Office prior to the eBill statement due date. William & Mary does not apply waivers retroactively. Eligible waivers are applied to current and/or future terms only.
