Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training Available in Cornerstone

General PPE training is available in Cornerstone and is mandatory for all employees who use personal protective equipment in the performance of their job duties. This training provides essential guidance on the selection, proper use, and maintenance of various types of PPE, including:

  • Head Protection
  • Eye and Face Protection
  • Hearing Protection
  • Hand Protection
  • Protective Footwear

Protective Footwear

William & Mary now has an online shoe ordering platform in collaboration with LeHigh Custom Fit. This partnership ensures that all Business Affairs employees who are safety-shoe eligible have access to high-quality, role-specific protective footwear that enhances workplace safety. With our improved process, ordering your protective shoes is simple, and your order will be delivered directly to the Fastenal Warehouse.

  • Electrical Hazard Protection: Safety shoes engineered to protect against electrical risks.
  • Protective Toe: Steel or composite protection from heavy objects.

How to Order

  1. Open your internet browser (Google Chrome recommended) and enter: williamandmary.customfit.me
  2. Enter your William & Mary SSO Employee ID and Password to log in.
  3. View My Profile to see your best-fitting styles, or use filters to browse the complete catalog.
  4. Select style and desired width and size.
  5. Verify selections and click Buy Now, then Checkout.
  6. Verify shipping to the Fastenal warehouse on campus at 115 Grigsby Dr., then click Continue.
  7. Review info and click Submit.
  8. You will receive an email confirmation. Your shoes will arrive in 7-10 days and will be available for pickup at the Fastenal Warehouse.

 A new stipend will automatically populate one year after your latest online order. For all employees, protective footwear in good condition is essential for maintaining a safe working environment. Please review our revised directive (pdf) to ensure you're meeting safety standards.
