High-rise apartment living for D.C. Semester Program or Summer Institute students!

There is no residency requirement for the D.C. Semester Program or the D.C. Summer Institutes, but the W&M Washington Center allows students to opt to live in sponsored housing. These units are 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments in Mt. Vernon Triangle, Washington, D.C. These apartments house 4 students each and are move-in ready!

All residents of Washington Center sponsored housing are required to sign a housing agreement acknowledging the rules and regulations of both the Washington Center and Turnkey Housing (our third-party contractor).

The W&M Washington Center primarily places students in the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood, including the Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle.

While we cannot guarantee building style or apartment layout, each apartment comes with:

Fully equipped kitchen with cooking supplies
2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
Dining and living area
Washer and dryer in each unit
High-speed Internet and cable
Fully furnished common and living spaces

Located only steps away from the W&M Washington Center in the heart of shopping, dining, and D.C. culture, W&M-sponsored housing is comprised of modern, safe housing complexes.

Parking is not available through the W&M Washington Center or its contractors. Students are encouraged to not bring their vehicles into the city and/or utilize 3rd-party parking management services.

Residents' visitors/guests must find metered street parking or additional paid parking garages or facilities in the Gallery Place Chinatown area.

Program students who choose to stay in W&M-sponsored housing have the option to stay in a double room or a single room* for the duration of their program. Students will be charged a portion of their total housing cost in the form of a deposit to reserve their room. This initial charge is charged through the student's accounts. The remaining housing cost will be applied directly to the student's account at a later date.

*Please note: Single rooms are not guaranteed and are dependent on apartment availability.

Students participating in a Study in D.C. Program are given priority consideration for available housing. Students not participating in a Washington Center program are considered on a first-come, first-served basis depending on space availability. This means that we have limited numbers of beds and will only be able to accommodate enough students for the number of empty beds we have. Payments and agreements are made with the W&M Washington Center, and every student is required to sign a housing agreement, wherein you agree to follow:

Furthermore, non-program student housing is ONLY available to students actively enrolled at W&M. This excludes recent W&M graduates and students from other universities.

The housing cost to non-program students follows the cost structure for programs. Students interested in summer housing will pay the summer housing fee, plus a $200 administration fee, and students interested in fall or spring semester housing will pay the semester housing fee, plus a $300 administration fee.
