Ethics in Epidemiology

The goal of this course is to provide students with a deeper appreciation and understanding of the complex nature of epidemiology, so as to equip them with the tools to effectively meet global health challenges. We will discuss the roots of epidemiology and explore how societal norms and marginalization of various groups have led to epidemiological disparities. Examples will be drawn from major diseases directly affecting humans, but also how anthropogenic factors have led to global health crises.
