Ori is a Sophomore from Maplewood, NJ, double majoring in Public Policy and Philosophy. He currently works as a junior analyst at the London-based data analytics firm, Solvencyiiwire, and is a research assistant at W&M’s Listening to Leaders lab. For his First Year Monroe Fellowship Scholarship Project, he completed a demographic survey titled “Variations on the Trolley Problem'' that analyzed correlations between personal ethical choices and policy preferences. Originally from Israel, he has always been passionate about Middle Eastern policy, and hopes to study the polarization of attitudes towards Middle Eastern policy as part of the Foreign Policy Institute experience. Outside of academics, he is the Assistant Head Delegate on W&M’s travel Model United Nations team and serves as the under-secretary general of W&M’s collegiate Model United Nations conference, “&MUN”. Ori is the Vice President of W&M’s Alpha Epsilon Pi chapter, as well as Tribe Rugby’s treasurer. Ever the optimist, he also never misses a Detroit Lions game and loves baking banana bread.

Peyton is a sophomore at W&M from Northbrook, Illinois. He is majoring in public policy and plans to pursue a data science minor. He’s been a sports fanatic his whole life and enjoys waking up early on Saturdays to watch the English Premier League. On campus, he is the team activities chair for the club sailing team, a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity, and a housing assistant for greek life living. Peyton has always been interested in history, which has shaped his passion to learn about policy and gain professional experience in the field. He’s looking forward to making meaningful connections and progress through the Foreign Policy Institute.

Evan is from Arlington, Virginia. He entered William & Mary in the fall of 2021 as a freshman. His intended major is Government but he also has interests in International Relations, Hispanic Studies, and History. On campus he is a member of the club swim team and serves as a lifeguard with Campus Recreation. Outside of academics he enjoys hiking, camping, running, and swimming. Evan is looking forward to being part of the Foreign Policy institute this summer to learn in the classroom and directly apply this knowledge into the policy making field. This is where he plans to start a career developing and implementing policies to create positive societal change.

Mujia (Ariana) He is a freshman at William & Mary from Mainland China. She is a prospective Economics and Government double major with interest in immigration policy, international economic development, and human rights. On campus, she is a member of international relations club and actively engages in travel model United Nation. She also works as the social media manager of DisInfo Lab. Outside of academics, she is a member of intramural soccer team and she also enjoys photography and guitar. She hopes to expand upon her passion for international politics and foreign policy over this summer while also learning valuable workplace skills through internship.

Aleksandr Kuzmenchuk is a second-year student at William & Mary from Bowie, Maryland, though he recently relocated to Williamsburg. He is a prospective International Relations and Business Analytics double major with particular interests in political philosophy, international security, and the politics of South Asia and Eastern Europe. He currently serves as the Director of Operations for The Monitor Journal of International Studies, recently worked as a Research Assistant at AidData on Europe & Eurasian Civic Space, and is a member of the varsity gymnastics team. In his free time, Alek enjoys pool, cooking, piano, political dramas, and socializing. He is excited to participate in the Foreign Policy Institute to better equip a professional goal of promoting interstate cooperation and defending U.S. national security interests.

Joshua is a current sophomore at William & Mary and is from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is planning on double majoring in Finance and International Relations. Having been born in Sweden and traveled all over the world, Josh is excited to learn about American Foreign Policy and its impact on the world at large. Joshua speaks Spanish fluently and is learning Arabic. Outside of academics, Joshua is a club officer for William & Mary Club Hockey, a member of the Finance and International Relations clubs, and a member of Kappa Delta Rho fraternity. Joshua has his private pilot's license and enjoys traveling.

Andy is a freshman from Plano, Texas majoring in International Relations. Andy is interested in exploring policy-making in practice in DC, specifically in the administrative processes supporting developmental policy and US-China relations. On campus, Andy is an active part of the W&M Debate Society, the Asian American Student Initiative, and the Chinese Student Organization. Through the Foreign Policy Institute, Andy hopes to better understand the Foreign Policy career field and gain firsthand experience with the policy-making process to improve his future research and pursuits.

Woodie is a junior from Alexandria, Virginia. She is double-majoring in Economics and Government. On campus, she is a research assistant at the GRI’s Teaching, Research, and International Policy project, where she studies the interconnections between academia and policymaking. She is also a consultant at W&M’s Writing Resources Center. Outside of her studies, Woodie loves to paint and sketch, and especially loves to create Ethiopian-inspired art. She is very excited to participate in the Foreign Policy Institute and study the factors that influence policy choices first-hand. She is ready to expand her knowledge in the classroom while simultaneously witnessing the course material come to life during an internship!

Sarah Wozniak is a Freshman at William & Mary from Wheaton, Illinois. She plans on majoring in International Relations and Economics, and is interested in Spanish as well. Sarah is an Associate Editor for William & Mary’s Journal of International Studies, The Monitor, and became interested in International Relations through her involvement in Model United Nations in high school as the club’s Media Manager. She is also a member of the Women’s Gymnastics Team at William & Mary. In her free time, Sarah likes to paint, coach gymnastics, spend time outdoors, and hang out with her younger siblings and friends. She is looking forward to learning more about foreign policy decision making in Washington DC and engaging with experts in the field.
