2026 Parking Restrictions for Local County HS Graduation Ceremonies

Kaplan Arena will once again serve as the venue to support our local High School Graduations.

Each School and their designated ceremony times are listed below. Each ceremony is scheduled to last 2 hours.

• Saturday Jun 6th (WJCC) - All parking areas must be clear by 6:30 AM
  • Warhill HS - 9 AM
  • Jamestown HS - 1:30 PM
  • Lafayette HS - 6 PM
• Sunday Jun 7th (GC) - ALl parking areas must be clear by 12:30 PM
  • Gloucester HS - 3 PM
• Wednesday June 10th (YC) - All parking areas must be clear by 3:30 PM 
  •  Grafton HS ceremony -  6 PM
• Thursday June 11th (YC) - All parking areas must be clear by 6:30 AM
  • Bruton HS - 9 AM
  • Tabb HS - 1:30 PM
  • York HS - 6 PM

In order to provide parking support for HS Staff, all graduates, and their guests the following parking areas will be reserved for exclusive HS use:

• Brooks St from Ukrop Way to Compton Dr is designated as ADA parking only. 
  • It will also be under a one-way restriction.
• ADA drop off is at the back Kaplan ramp
  • ADA Parking requires a DMV issued plate or placard
• Brooks St past the ramp to Compton Dr will be one-way and serve part of General Parking
• VIPs must display issued pass to park in the Compton Lot
• The portion of Brooks St from Compton to and inclusive of McClurg Ave,  and both Upper and Lower Kaplan Arena lots are reserved for general parking
• The Parking Deck and School of Ed lots 1-3 will provide overflow parking as needed.

All W&M Students, F/S, and state vehicles must seek parking elsewhere on campus. The middle portion of Compton Dr will be barricaded and set as a pedestrian only section, 1 hr prior to each ceremony no through traffic will be allowed.  

Parking Staff, RMC and WMPD Officers will be onsite to moderate traffic and assist guest with arrivals and departures.
