Space Data Management
Technical Services maintains William & Mary's space database of record on the FAMIS 360 platform. This tool includes space and location information, visual maps of campus buildings, space reports and location audit information, and property & asset information. The FAMIS database is populated with basic building and space information: site, building, floor, room and room area (square footage). Additional data such as space type, space allocation, and space utilization and more is included in the space database classified according to Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual (FICM) standards.
Information available in FAMIS
- Current floor plans for all university-occupied buildings
- Space information, including room use, function, and occupying departments
- Space data reports used for planning, accreditation, budgeting, and analysis
Space Reports and Information
Faculty and staff that need help finding square footage, room numbers, official names of buildings and more, can find information by utilizing FAMIS. Please login, navigate to the upper right corner and click on "Space." Click on the Visual map tab to search the building drop down menu.
