Alexander Angelov delivered a paper entitled "God’s Representative on Earth: 'Caesaropapism' in Byzantine and Modern Orthodoxy" for the Eastern Orthodox Studies Group at the American Academy of Religion annual meeting in Baltimore November 2014.  His article "In Search of God's Only Emperor: 'Basileus' in Byzantine and Modern Historiography" was accepted for The Journal of Medieval History and appeared in 2014.

Annie Blazer delivered a paper on “Masculinities and Religious Affects” for a dual session of the Men, Masculinities, and Religion and Religion, Affect, and Emotion groups at the American Academy of Religion annual meeting in Baltimore, November 2014.

At the Society of Biblical Literature annual conference in Baltimore in November 2014, Michael Daise delivered two papers: “Jewish Identity under Rome” for the Construction of Christian Identities group and “Quotations with ‘Remembrance’ Formulae in the Fourth Gospel” for the Johannine Literature section.
