Undergraduate research courses

Motivated undergraduate students are encouraged to get involved in research at any stage of their academic career through the specially-designed classes: PHYS 155 Freshman Research, PHYS 255 Sophomore Research and PHYS 355 Junior Research.

An interested student need to identify a faculty member who is willing to serve as their research supervisor. This faculty member then requests an individual research section, and gives the student permission to enroll. Since it may take a few days for the section to be open, it is important make necessary arrangements with the research mentor well in advance before the end of the add/drop period.
