Suggested Packing List

Below is a list of items that you may need during your 3-week stay at W&M. While comprehensive, this list is not exhaustive. If you have any questions about this, or the Prohibited Items List, please feel free to reach out to the NIAHD Office.

Some families find it helpful to ship their student’s dorm room items to NIAHD ahead of Move-In Day. If this is something you are interested in, you may ship items to the NIAHD address.

Important: Virginia is in a convergence of Temperate and Humid Subtropical Climates. Summer days can be extremely bright, sunny, hot, and dusty, and then stormy, muddy, and occasionally cool. There will be bugs and humidity every day. Please plan accordingly.
