Committee on Interdisciplinary Studies

Committee Charge

There shall be a standing Committee on Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS), which will consist of six faculty members (appointed for terms of three years in consultation with the Vice-Deans). It will be chaired by one of the Vice-Deans. The CIS serves as the curriculum committee for all self-designed majors, and for all courses with an INTR prefix. The CIS was previously the Committee on Honors & Interdisciplinary Studies.

In Spring of 2024, the CIS will meet on the following dates: January 23, February 27, March 26, April 23 and May 28. If an application is not received one week before the committee date, that application will not be reviewed until the next meeting.
