Every year, about 50 students are pursuing a minor in economics at W&M.
An economics minor requires 15 credit hours of courses in economics beyond ECON 101 and 102 (Principles of Economics). The 15 semester hours must include at least one intermediate economic theory course (ECON 303 and/or 304) and at least 3 semester hours in courses numbered 400 or above.
An economics minor might be especially useful for students majoring in government, public policy, sociology, or business.
For details, see the Handbook for Economics Majors and Minors [pdf].
