Dates & Deadlines

Application materials must be submitted on or before the following dates to ensure receipt and avoid processing delays. If you are applying to William & Mary, submit your Common App by Jan. 5. The deadline is midnight in your time zone and applies to the student’s completed application. Supplemental materials including transcripts, test scores and recommendations may still be submitted after that Jan. 5 deadline.

Fee waiver options are available for applicants with specific qualifications.

Mar. 28	Official high school transcripts and, if applicable, an official copy of the GED certificate with scores must be received. High school transcripts are required for any applicant with less than 24 completed college credits post-high school. Please note, that all admitted/enrolling students are required to submit a high school transcript/GED/certification.
Mar. 28	Official college transcripts from all institutions attended must be received
Mar. 28	Mid-Term Report or Mid-Semester Grade Snapshot (ex: Canvas Dashboard Screenshot) deadline to upload into the Application Status Portal or emailed to transfer@wm.edu.
Early May	Admission decisions are released to the Application Status Portal

Jun. 15	Waitlisted transfer students should contact the transfer dean, send updated transcripts reflecting spring semester grades (if applicable) and submit the continued interest form. If transferring from a community college and receiving an associate degree, an updated transcript with the conferred degree should be sent in as soon as available.

Deadline Extensions

William & Mary is generally willing to grant an application deadline extension when a student or a school is impacted by circumstances beyond their control. Deadline extension requests may be emailed to admission@wm.edu.
