2023-2024 Annual Costs
Affording Opportunity
William & Mary is committed to affording all admitted students the opportunity to thrive in and out of the classroom. This commitment to financial assistance can help make attending our preeminent university possible.
The William & Mary Board of Visitors voted to conclude a five-year freeze on tuition, approving rates for the 2023-24 academic year that will advance the university’s commitment to quality, affordability, efficiency and transparency.
Generous Financial Assistance
Through a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, work-study and other sources, generous financial assistance is available, with 65% of in-state students receiving aid and almost half of out-of-state students receiving aid. Effective fall 2023, all in-state, Pell-eligible students automatically receive scholarship assistance to cover at least tuition and fees.
