Passphrase Security

Summary

In a continued effort to provide security for student information some offices at William & Mary are going to require a Passphrase from all callers.

Full Description

In accordance with security initiatives at William & Mary, students and callers inquiring about student information will need to provide a Passphrase to verify identity and access privileges. Current William & Mary students can obtain their passphrase and assign passphrases to others through the Personal Information Questionnaire (personalinfo.wm.edu or the student can access it through the BannerWeb portal at my.wm.edu).

The Financial Aid Office requests Passphrase verification information (the student’s User ID,  your first and last name, and your passphrase) for all current students and those calling on the student's behalf. The student and anyone granted a passphrase will each have a unique passphrase.

Entering students will have access to the Personal Information Questionnaire after May 1st and Passphrase verification information requests will begin after the first bill of the new academic year.
