Financial Assistance

Jessica Belton, MS 2013Qualified full-time students meeting the research needs of the faculty are usually awarded substantial financial assistance. Up to two years of financial aid is available to MS candidates remaining in good academic standing and satisfactorily carrying out their assigned duties.

Academic year support:

  • Tuition & Fees - fully covered
  • Assistantship Stipends (2013-2014) - $12,800

Summer support for MS candidates:

  • Tuition - fully covered or none (depends on credits earned)
  • Fellowship & Stipend - $5,000

Other required expenses:

  • Summer Fees (2012-2013) $75 if enrolled
  • Books - variable
  • Commencement Fee ($75)
  • Thesis printing & binding
  • Health Insurance - Proof of insurance required; modestly priced group policy offered by the College
  • Room & Board - both on campus graduate housing and off campus options available

Supplemental fellowships for applicants with excellent academic records are offered:

  • Board's Diversity Fellowship - $3,500/yr for up to two years
  • Graduate Board Recruitment Fellowship - $2,500/yr for up to two years
  • Graduate Studies & Research Fellowship - $2,000/yr for up to two years
  • Kranbuehl-Thompson Graduate Fellowship - $850/yr
