Pilgrimage, Racial Injustice, and Experiential Learning

The Institute for Pilgrimage Studies sponsored presentations from two professors who have taken students on Civil Rights trips: Alexandra Reckendorf, Assistant Professor of Political Science and Associate Chair of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Political Science, and Jackson Sasser, Lecturer of Government at William & Mary. Sasser and Reckendorf spoke about planning and curriculum, and shared their experiences traveling with students to sites of memory related to racial injustice and protest.
