Bio
Hillary Waldron brings more than two decades of international business leadership to the William & Mary Board of Visitors. She currently serves as Senior Director of International Business Development at a major U.S. defense contractor, where she leads commercial engagement across more than 60 countries and advises foreign governments on national security procurement strategies.
After graduating from William & Mary with a B.A. in Government and International Relations, Hillary launched her career in the international defense market and has remained a global business development leader ever since. She has led multiple cross-border strategic initiatives, consistently delivering sustained revenue growth and fostering enduring institutional partnerships. Prior to her current role, she established Convoy Group LLC to advise companies on expanding access to international defense markets through strategic engagement and compliant sales.
Hillary holds certifications in global export controls and U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and has co-authored industry white papers on defense export policy and international alliance cooperation. Deeply committed to William & Mary, Hillary is a member of the Society of 1918 and remains active in the university community as a mentor and speaker. She also serves on the board of a national nonprofit focused on civic engagement. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, she now lives in Alexandria with her husband Rand (W&M '99) and their two children, Jack and Scarlet.
