2025 Projects

The 2025 Art & Science Exchange Showcase exemplified the transformative potential of interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together artists, scientists, humanists, and community partners to engage urgent questions through creative practice. Highlights included Displaced in the Birthplace of America, a powerful fusion of documentary film, sculpture, and music that told the untold story of Black displacement in Williamsburg; Scientific Transculturalism, a faculty workshop that modeled how inclusive collaboration can transform teaching and scholarship; This Is Not My Art, a provocative dialogue between historical interpretation and digital innovation; Waveform.ai, a multi-day exploration of improvisation and artificial intelligence that reimagined the boundaries of live performance; and Waves of Wonder, a marine science and art incubator that translated ecological research into visual and narrative forms.

Together, these projects demonstrate how the Art & Science Exchange nurtures a vibrant ecosystem of experimentation—where disciplines meet, knowledge is co-created, and creativity becomes a conduit for discovery, justice, and public impact.
