Health Coaching

A guide to help you create and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors

What is a Health Coach?

A health coach motivates and supports health behavior change through a structured partnership between the client and coach. The coach helps the client develop and realize their optimal health vision through inquiry, personal discovery, and accountability.

What topics are appropriate to address in health coaching?

The coaching relationship is unique. You and the coach work to form a partnership that better equips you to realize your optimal health vision based on your own goals and values. Any concern that gets in the way of taking care of your optimal health is a perfect focal point when initiating coaching. Any topic you want to address that contributes to your optimal health is an appropriate topic for Integrative Health Coaching.

 What health coaching is NOT:

  • It’s not therapy and/or counseling. A health coach doesn't treat disease. A health coach partners with a client to make behavioral changes.
  • It’s not life coaching. Life coaching focuses on enhancing leadership skills. Health coaching focuses on health-related goals.
  • It’s not an education course. A health coach is not teaching you new skills. The health coach is partnering with you to develop the skills you have.

Enhance your personal health goals with Integrative Health Coaching. You can explore, topics such as sleep, physical activity, dietary changes, and more.
