Our Philosophy on the Course

At William & Mary, our Challenge Course programs are based on Experiential Education principles, a learning process that places participants in unique settings with purposeful problem-solving activities that require full engagement. Through synthesis and reflection, participants re-examine pre-existing behaviors and explore new skills and strengths.

Team Building

Our facilitators provide opportunities for team and individual learning in a controlled and challenging environment. Through mindful debriefing and authentic discussions, we transfer these learning experiences back to the personal, professional, and academic lives of participants.

Our Programs

We design your program based on team needs and goals.

Collaboration

Activities can be tailored to strengthen group cohesiveness, communication, trust, group processing, interpersonal relationships, individual members' self-awareness, and confidence level. Through our programs, groups are being socially, mentally, physically, and environmentally challenged in a positive and fun environment. Read about our specific program types.

The W&M Challenge course is open to both W&M organizations and external groups.  We ask that all requests be made at least two weeks before your requested program date. All participants must complete an Aassumption of Risk form and a Health History form before participating in challenge course programs.

Leadership Development

Our Operating Season
