  • Enter a Title and the page content.
  • Select Save & Preview – then choose Submit >> Check Content & Submit.

Add Image to Page

  • Select the Insert/edit image mountain icon.
  • Select Choose File and browse to your images folder.
  • Choose the uploaded image file.
  • Enter descriptive alt text.

Create Links

  • Highlight your desired text and select the Insert/edit link chain icon.
  • For internal links, browse to and Choose the page.
    • An internal link points to a page that exists within your Cascade site. If you can browse to the destination page in Cascade, create an internal link. For example, www.wm.edu editors should use internal links for pages on www.wm.edu, while mason.wm.edu editors should use internal links for pages on mason.wm.edu. Any destination outside your Cascade site is an external link.
    • Use internal links whenever possible. Internal links automatically update if a page is moved or renamed, helping prevent broken links and making your site easier to maintain.
  • For external links, type or paste the full URL (beginning with "http://") in the Link Source field.

Publishing

Manual Publishing

Update your content and make it live.

  • If you only edited a page or file, you just need to publish that item.
  • Publish the folder whenever you create, edit, rename or delete one to ensure menu changes update correctly across all parent, child and sibling pages.

Tip: Cascade allows you to schedule publish jobs for non-time sensitive edits.

Automated Weekly Refresh

Each night a scheduled job publishes a set of our websites to help keep our internal relationships and borrowed page content up to date. All websites are published in this manner once each week.
