Welcome Class of 2030!

Welcome to William & Mary! Student Accessibility Services (SAS) is here to help support you through your journey here at William and Mary. Student Accessibility Services currently serves over 1,400 students across campus and offers academic, testing,  housing, dietary, and temporary accommodations. Our office also is home to the Watson Testing Center, where students with approved testing accommodations can opt to take their exams.

How to Register for Accommodations

Once you’ve received your William & Mary student number and log-in information, you are ready to begin the process of applying for accommodations.

SAS uses a website called Accommodate where students can request new and supplemental accommodations, update their portals, and submit any relevant or necessary medical documentation.

  • The first step is to sign in to Accommodate. To register, you will find the “Accommodation” tab on the left side menu. You will then select “Accessibility Request” from the Accommodation drop-down menu. This form may take approximately 10 - 15 minutes to complete.
  • Once the form has been submitted, your next step will be to submit medical documentation that is relevant to the requested Accommodation. Please see our documentation guidelines for additional details.
    • Documentation can be submitted via Accommodate, fax, or email. Our fax number is (757) 221-2538 and email is sas@wm.edu
  • The final step is to schedule a Welcome Meeting with a member of SAS. Welcome meetings are a 30-minute interactive meeting with a member of our staff to discuss your requested accommodations.

We will officially begin holding Welcome Meetings for students in the class of 2030 starting the week of April 27th, 2026.

Summer Connections Program

The SAS Summer Connections Program is a week-long supportive experience for incoming students to help them prepare for their arrival in the fall. The program provides an introduction to academic life, an acclimation to the campus, a chance to make social connections, learn advocacy skills, and practice essential college life skills.

New students are encouraged to look at our Summer Connections Program page for additional information regarding the program and its application.
