Stepping Stones

Opportunities to connect with new classmates and begin to establish the friendships that will sustain you for all time coming.

Stepping Stones are a series of virtual new student meet-ups created with the intention of easing incoming students into life as a college student within the W&M community.

These events are centered on helping students find an initial community within the university. Perhaps you'll find your new best friend, future roommate, or a friendly face to look for on move-in day!

Each Stepping Stone will consist of different community resource presentation followed by student-to-student conversations and open student leader Q&A.

Students are encouraged to register and attend all - or as many - Stepping Stones as they are able! However, we know that schedules can be challenging so presentations will be recorded and shared out via the STEP YouTube Channel.

Having Registration Troubles?

Great news! If you recently activated your W&M email, it may take up to two business days before your account fully connects with all of our various Single Sign-On (SSO) university features.

If this is not your situation, here are a few simple fixes that have worked for many students:
   (1) Try using a different web browser (Chrome, Firefox or Safari are most recommended)
   (2) Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try registering again
   (3) Open an incognito/private browsing window and attempt registration there
   (4) Open the W&M Zoom application and log-in with your university credentials, then (while staying logged in) open a new tab to register for your session

If you have tried these steps and are still having trouble, let us know! We are more than happy to help you troubleshoot so you are able to join us.

Registration Now Open

Come as you are, wherever you are. Each of the live Zoom sessions will be accessed using your W&M credentials (the same as your W&M email address). Registration will close at 5 PM ET one business day prior to the event. Check back frequently for potential added dates.
