Afterschool Programming

William & Mary student volunteers offer academic, peer, and emotional support at least two afternoons each week from 2:50pm - 5:00pm for 10-week programming. Our focus within the programs is to bridge the opportunity gap in order to help facilitate positive educational, social, and emotional development in young people. Activities in Afterschool include a STEM-based curriculum to provide students more opportunity to grow and think. Students are expected to attend all sessions each week. Snack is provided.

In addition, GSP Afterschool invites middle school students to participate in at least two Saturdays a semester for enrichment programming. Those students who attend after school regularly are encouraged and expected to attend enrichment programs. Lunch and transportation in WJCC school buses is provided. In the spring, as a celebration of the student's hard work in the program, GSP Afterschool students may participate in Big Trip. Big Trip is an exciting full-day field trip to somewhere outside of the WJCC area. Previous trips have been to D.C., Monticello, and the Virginia Aquarium.

If you are a parent of a child in WJCC, please visit our After School Families Page for an application.

If you are a William and Mary student looking to join, please visit the After School Volunteers page.
