Fellow's Role

Overall Commitment

Fellows are expected to embrace opportunities for experiential learning, developmental relationships, and formal education while upholding institutional values of belonging, curiosity, excellence, flourishing, integrity, respect, and service. Fellows are asked to:

  • Dedicate yourself to holistic leadership development through experiential practice, mentorship, and formal learning.
  • Demonstrate Alignment with institutional values of belonging, curiously, excellence, flourishing, integrity, respect and service. 
  • Treat the Fellowship as both a growth opportunity and a responsibility to contribute to the William & Mary community. 

Professional Expectations

  • Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive institutional or personnel matters through signing a non-disclosure document at the start of the program
  • Model inclusive leadership by fostering environments of respect, belonging, and collaboration
  • Manage time effectively to balance fellowship activities with existing professional responsibilities
  • Represent the program with professionalism in all engagements- internal and external 
  • Commit to the evaluation process (self-assessment, feedback, program surveys) to ensure continuous improvements of the Fellowship
  • Provide "plus/delta" feedback to the program
