About

The William & Mary Leadership Fellows Program is a selective, cohort-based leadership development experience designed to cultivate emerging leaders committed to service, integrity, and impact.

Fellows engage in a dynamic blend of experiential learning, mentorship, and professional development, gaining exposure to the complexities of leadership within higher education and beyond through Lominger's 70/20/10 framework of exposure, experience and education. Through hands-on projects, collaboration with university leaders, and participation in structured seminars, Fellows deepen their understanding of organizational strategy, inclusive leadership, and community engagement.

The program emphasizes learning by doing, providing Fellows with meaningful opportunities to contribute to institutional initiatives  within site placements, while developing critical skills in communication, problem-solving, and ethical decision-making. Participants also benefit from close mentorship, leadership coaching, and a supportive cohort model that fosters reflection, connection, and growth.

Grounded in William & Mary’s core values, the Leadership Fellows Program prepares participants to lead with purpose while upholding  institutional values.
