Chapter Overview & History
Gamma Phi Beta is a home away from home, with a sisterhood of driven, compassionate, and well-rounded individuals across campus. Outside of Gamma Phi Beta, our sisters hold leadership roles across a wide range of organizations, including Student Transition Engagement Programs, professional fraternities, service groups, and academic honor societies.
Whether it’s late-night study sessions at Swem, sunny afternoons on the Gamma Phi house porch, or a walk in Colonial Williamsburg, there is always a sister ready to cheer you on. The Gamma Phi Beta
sisterhood emulates a culture of love, labor, learning, and loyalty: our 4 core values on every corner of our campus; and we are so proud to call every individual that passes through our doors our sister.

"Gamma Phi Beta has accepted me for who I truly am and each sister goes out of their way to make others feel welcome. I’m grateful to be part of a group that loves and supports one another through thick and thin. I’ve met so many genuine, down-to-earth people through Gamma Phi that I’m lucky to call my friends. I’m so happy to be part of such an inclusive, ambitious, and vibrant group." - Emerson Niederloh MC ’24
"Gamma Phi gave me a true sense of friendship and belonging from the jump- just what a freshman out-of-state student needed! My sisters have watched me grow into new versions of myself with love and encouragement. I love that Gamma Phi has no cookie cutter mold; each of us is unique in personality, interest, and goals, but we all blend together perfectly. Being part of this sisterhood has enriched my college experience in every way." - Ainsley Ruhl MC ’22
