Sigma Alpha Epsilon at William & Mary, the Virginia Kappa Chapter, was founded nationally on March 9, 1856, at the University of Alabama and established on campus on December 12, 1857. Known on campus as SAE, the chapter carries a long-standing tradition of brotherhood, leadership, and service within the William & Mary community.
With royal purple and old gold as its colors, Sigma Alpha Epsilon supports philanthropic initiatives including Children’s Miracle Network, Movember, and Be The Match, reflecting a commitment to service and community impact. Through brotherhood, leadership development, and campus involvement, SAE provides members with opportunities to build lasting connections and contribute meaningfully during their collegiate experience and beyond.
