Verified: Legal Studies

June 1 through June 6

Designed for future lawyers and legal advocates, Verified: Legal Studies will expose participants to a wide range of career options. Participants will meet with professionals in criminal and civil rights law, political law, advocacy, and more. During this week-long experience, participants will learn how to craft briefs based on real cases, guided by real legal practitioners.

Professor, W&M Government Department

Professor Christine Nemacheck will facilitate this year's Legal Verified Program. She is the Director of W&M’s Legal Scholars Program and the former pre-law advisor for William & Mary. Professor Nemacheck has more than 15 years of experience working with pre-law students, law school admissions officers, and practicing attorneys. She has organized the Legal Verified program to help students clarify and articulate their academic, professional, and personal goals in conjunction with the skills and competencies they develop to be successful over the course of their week in D.C.
