Winter Seminars Student Housing

There is no residency requirement for the D.C. Winter Seminars, but the W&M Washington Center reserves boutique hotel rooms for students to stay in during the Winter Seminars. Students accommodations for the 2026 Seminars will be at the Arlo DC Hotel (three blocks from the Center).

Hotel amenities include:

  • Fitness center
  • Wifi included
  • Daily housekeeping services
  • On-site restaurant (a la carte; restricted from room charges)
  • On-site Bodega (a la carte: restricted from room charges)
  • Multiple lobby and gathering spaces
  • Rooftop venue (a la carte: restricted from room charges)

Availability

Students participating in the D.C. Winter Seminars may choose to live on their own or are given priority to W&M-sponsored housing. D.C. Winter Seminars students are required to notify the Housing Coordinator of their housing needs by the date given by the D.C. Winter Seminars Coordinator. All students who request W&M-sponsored housing by the given date are guaranteed housing.

Costs and Fees

The rate for those who choose to stay in W&M-sponsored housing is fluid but averages around $950, however, the housing cost is subject to change based on market availability. Final housing cost will be determined by October 2025.

Winter Seminars Hotel Dates:
  • Move In: January 4, 2026
  • Move Out: January 16, 2026

All residents of Washington Center sponsored housing are required to sign a housing agreement acknowledging the rules and regulations of the Washington Center.
