Summer Institutes Student Housing
High-rise apartment living in the center of Washington, D.C.!
There is no residency requirement for the D.C. Summer Institutes, but the W&M Washington Center rents 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments in Mt. Vernon Triangle, Washington, D.C. for students who opt to live in our W&M-sponsored housing. These apartments house 4 students each and are move-in ready!
Apartment Features:
The W&M Washington Center primarily places students in the Mt. Vernon Triangle neighborhood, including the Meridian at Mt. Vernon Triangle. While we cannot guarantee building style or apartment layout, each apartment comes with:- Fully equipped kitchen with cooking supplies

Located only 3 metro stops away from the W&M Washington Center in the heart of shopping, dining, and D.C. culture, W&M-sponsored housing is comprised of modern, safe housing complexes.
Parking
Residents may rent a parking space in their garage for an estimated fee of $900. *Subject to change based on market availability*
Residents' visitors/guests must find metered street parking or additional paid parking garages or facilities in the Gallery Place Chinatown area.

Availability
Students participating in the D.C. Summer Institutes program may choose to live on their own or are given priority to W&M-sponsored housing. D.C. Summer Institute students are required to notify the Housing Coordinator of their housing needs by the date given by the DCSI Program Coordinator. All students who request W&M-sponsored housing by the given date are guaranteed housing for summer 2021.
Costs and Fees
The rates for those who choose to stay in W&M sponsored are $4,000 for a double room or $7,000 for a single room (pending availability) for the 12-week program. Students will be charged a portion of their total housing cost in the form of a $1,800 housing deposit to reserve their room. This initial charge is charged to the fellows through their student accounts. The remaining summer housing costs will be applied directly to the student's account at a later date.
