• 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Arrival and check-in
• Opening ceremonies and celebration (following check-in)

Monday, July 27 — Virginia: British Colony and American "Sire"

Theme: How did Virginia's identity as a British colony position it to become the birthplace of American independence?

Schedule:

• Morning: Site visit to Jamestown Settlement
• Afternoon: Sessions at William & Mary

Tuesday, July 28 — People, Ideas, and Events Leading Virginia Toward Revolution

Theme: When did Virginia stop being British, and who decided?

Schedule:

• Morning: Site visit to Colonial Williamsburg
• Afternoon: Sessions at William & Mary

Wednesday, July 29 — The Declaration of Independence and Its Legacy

Theme: What did the Declaration of Independence mean in 1776, and what does it mean today?

Schedule:

• Morning: Site visit to the Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC)
• Afternoon: Panel of historians at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture

Thursday, July 30 — Sankofa

Theme: What will we bring back with us?

Schedule:

• Morning: Pack up and check out of dorms
• Closing ceremonies conclude by 1:00 PM
