As Executive Director of Strategic Cultural Partnerships, Mark guides efforts to translate the unique historical and cultural resources of William & Mary and partner institutions into accessible and impactful curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular educational opportunities for students, faculty, and community cohorts.
Mark is Co-PI and Project Director of the $2.89M We the Teachers grant from the Department of Education.
A tenured Professor of Education, Mark served as the inaugural Director of the Studio for Teaching & Learning Innovation beginning in 2019. Before taking on the STLI Director role, Mark served as the Chair of Curriculum and Instruction, Co-Director of the W&M School of Education’s Center for Innovation in Learning Design, and Associate Dean for Teacher Education and Professional Services. A former high school history teacher, Mark received his Ph.D in Instructional Technology from the University of Virginia, his MS in Educational Administration from Butler University, and his BA in History from Notre Dame.
