Where to Park

Visitor passes are not required during Family Weekend. From Friday through Sunday, you may park in any regular Faculty/Staff, Day Student, or Resident Student space on campus, unless otherwise indicated. Accessible spaces are available throughout campus for those with a state issued license plate or hangtag. Use the interactive Campus Map for parking locations.

Where not to park

  • Fire lanes
  • No Parking zones
  • "Official Vehicle" spaces
  • "Service Vehicle" spaces
  • "Reserved at all times" spaces
  • Other specially reserved spaces
  • Accessible spaces (without appropriate documentation)
  • Any grass/seeded/mulch areas

Parking meters are enforced at all times unless the meter specifies otherwise.

Please remember that parking on off-campus streets (including Richmond Road) is controlled by the City of Williamsburg seven days/week, 24 hours/day. City street parking is enforced via color-coded decals. Do not park on streets that require residential decals. Visitors should pay attention to all campus and city signs related to parking restrictions.

Football Parking Advisory (Saturday): 

On days when William & Mary Football has a home game, several parking areas will be closed starting at 7 a.m. through the end of the game. Vehicles parked in these areas during restricted hours will be ticketed and/or towed.

  • Designated spaces on College Terrace, Bright Street and Dawson Circle

Shuttle Service

Please note that on Saturday only, many parking locations are closed for Football parking. Because of this, shuttles will run throughout the day on Saturday from 8am-8pm from the following locations: Parking Deck, Boswell Parking LotPhi Beta Kappa Parking Lot, the Plant Lot, and the School of Education lot. 

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available at parking lots throughout campus. A state-issued license plate or hangtag is required to park in these spaces. 

Please be mindful of the football parking advisory on Saturday, October 4th. The accessible spots in the lots listed above will not be free to park. The shuttles will cycle through the lots that have free ADA parking with use of state-issued license plate or hangtag.
